Our Story

The Poke Pages started the same way a lot of great collections do — with a genuine obsession for Pokémon and the feeling that there is always another card, another set, and another story worth discovering.

Over the years, that passion turned into something much bigger. We went from collecting for ourselves, to streaming live on Whatnot, buying and selling cards, traveling to card shows, vending alongside other collectors, and spending countless hours studying the Pokémon market.

But somewhere along the way, we realized we didn't look at Pokémon cards quite the same way most people did.

We love the artwork and nostalgia, but we're equally fascinated by the numbers behind the hobby — population reports, condition, scarcity, liquidity, sales history, price movement, overlooked variants, and the small details that can completely change what a card is actually worth.

We can spend hours digging through sales data, comparing copies of the same card, studying different grades and conditions, or trying to understand why one part of the market is moving while another isn't.

That's what eventually became The Poke Pages.

This isn't meant to be another giant card shop filled with thousands of anonymous listings. Everything here comes from the perspective of collectors first.

Some cards are great inventory. Some are great opportunities. Some deserve to stay in a collection for years. And sometimes the cards that don't immediately jump off the screen are the ones with the most interesting stories behind them.

The deeper we got into the hobby, the more we realized how much there is to learn beyond simply asking, “What is this card worth?”

Where did it come from?

How difficult is it to find?

How many exist in high grade?

Is the market actually moving?

Is it liquid?

Is it undervalued?

And, most importantly, why does this particular piece matter?

Those are the questions behind The Poke Pages.

Our goal is to build a place for collectors who enjoy Pokémon the same way we do — where the cards are important, but so are the history, the market, the hunt, and the stories behind them.

The Poké Pages is still growing, and that is part of what makes it exciting. New cards come in, collections change, markets move, and there is always another piece worth discovering. We are building this for the people who still get that feeling when the right card shows up — because we do too.

Because every collection is really just a series of pages.

And we're always looking for the next one.
